Vulgar TV Land Program 'Teachers' Mocks Christians

TV Land continues to air the vile program "Teachers" on Tuesday evenings at 10:00 p.m. ET/9:00 p.m. CT with a TV-14 L rating, but the previews air much earlier in the evening when children are likely watching TV. The vulgar advertisements for "Teachers" are airing during shows such as the "Andy Griffith Show" and other family-friendly programs. The previews alone are disgusting, and that is extremely disturbing since it involves a young cast. If the promos are this bad, then obviously the show is not suitable for TV.

It is almost impossible to describe the depth of depravity found in the TV Land sitcom "Teachers." Every scene is filled with s-xual innuendos, implications, or encounters.

Teaching is an honorable profession, but oftentimes a thankless job. 1MM wants to support and encourage educators, not belittle, mock, or bring them down as TV Land is doing.

This show also depicts Christians in a negative light. TV Land has crossed the line by belittling the Christian faith with foul jokes. Everyone knows that the entertainment industry desensitizes viewers, especially impressionable young minds.

TV Land is encouraging crude dialogue, offensive gestures at school, teachers being cruel to young children, and questioning authority. "Teachers" is irresponsible and an insult to women, Christians, and teachers.

As a parent and member of OneMillionMoms.com, I strongly encourage Turbo Tax (Intuit) to drop all plans of financially supporting the inappropriate TV Land program "Teachers." The show airs on Tuesday evenings at 10:00 p.m. ET/9:00 p.m. CT with a TV-14 L rating, but the previews air much earlier in the evening when children are likely watching TV. The vulgar advertisements for "Teachers" are airing during shows such as the "Andy Griffith Show" and other family-friendly programs. If the promos are this bad, then obviously the show is not suitable for TV, and I am sure you do not want your company associated with this content.

I do not agree with your financial backing of this disgusting program. I hope this was done in error and you will resolve this problem immediately. Teaching is an honorable job, but oftentimes a thankless job. TV Land's repulsive show "Teachers" is irresponsible and an insult to women and teachers.

As a consumer, I am asking you to please pull your ad immediately and sponsor family-friendly programming instead. I certainly hope your company's financial support of this type of television programming through advertising is simply an oversight. My decision to support your company depends on it.

I urge your company to place "Teachers" on your "do not advertise" list in protest of the attempt to desensitize America and our children by promoting inappropriate behavior.
