Urge Sanderson Farms' to No Longer Sponsor 'The Mick'

Update: Sanderson Farms' advertising on "The Mick" has been pulled!

Victory! Sanderson Farms has responded to our concerns regarding their recent ad placement during the program, "The Mick." As soon as 1MM alerted Sanderson Farms that its commercials were airing during this indecent show, the company pulled the ads immediately. Thank you Sanderson Farms!

Sanderson Farms said their company is a family company and after learning that FOX Network had its ad running during this show, it was pulled.

This is not the first time 1MM has heard that a network had placed companies’ ads into a show's time slot without their knowledge or consent. This is proof that networks are ignoring the best interests of both their own sponsors (who don’t want to be associated with programs such as “The Mick”) and of parents and families (who don’t want their kids exposed to lewd s-x talk). But it’s not really a surprise that FOX misinforms its own sponsors. After all, it’s already rating "The Mick" as appropriate for children.

Sanderson Farms has been thanked on your behalf. No further action is needed, but you can keep their decision in mind while shopping.

Unfortunately, “The Mick” has been renewed for a second season, so it has yet another year of putting children in even more inappropriate situations, if that can still be possible.

This vulgar program is far from family-friendly, and with a TV-14 DLV rating, you can be assured this will not be for family viewing. This irresponsible and tasteless program is inappropriate for any age, but unfortunately, the age of the primary cast members may attract young viewers. “The Mick” airs on FOX on Tuesday evenings at 9:00 p.m./8:00 p.m. CT.

“The Mick” centers on Mackenzie “Mickey” Murphy, an irresponsible, foul-mouthed, alcoholic, pill-head who is forced into raising her rich sister’s intolerable kids after the sister flees the country to avoid a federal indictment. 1MM recognizes this show also ridicules people of faith and mocks Christianity.

The victims of this outrageous show are the young cast members, not to mention any children who view the program. The sexualization and moral corruption of these children is child exploitation at its worst. No child should be subjected to a bondage gag, violence, cross dressing, and sexual jokes.
