Urge ChristianMingle.com To Pull Sponsorship from 'Impastor'

UPDATE! ChristianMingle.com has pulled their ad!

1MM just received a phone call from ChristianMingle.com saying they are no longer sponsoring "Impastor" on TVLand.

ChristianMingle.com's official response:

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. ChristainMingle remains steadfast in its commitment to the Christian faith and its values. While our current advertising campaign includes TVLand, effective immediately, we have pulled all advertising during Impastor and, for now, on TVLand as we analyze the allocation of our advertising dollars. We thank our members for bringing this to our attention.

Original Alert:

TVLand continues to air the sacrilegious program "Impastor" at 10:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. CT. The previews which air earlier in the evening include sex, theft, murder, drug use, and foul language.

This show not only depicts pastors in a negative light, but the entire program will also be based on lies about Christianity. It revolves around Buddy Dobbs, a gambling, pot-smoking slacker, on the run from a loan shark, who steals a man's identity and ends up posing as the new gay pastor in a small, tightknit town.

"Impastor" is another attempt to distort the truth about Christianity. TV Land has crossed the line by mocking the Christian faith with foul jokes.

We need to send a loud and clear message to advertisers that this kind of programming is insulting and completely unacceptable. There is strength in numbers so forward this to everyone you know!

TAKE ACTION

Please use the information we have provided to contact ChristianMingle.com (Spark Networks) and ask that they pull their financial support from "Impastor."
