TV Land's 'Impastor' Now Rated TV-MA!

TV Land's 'Impastor' Now Rated TV-MA!

TV Land continues to air the sacrilegious program "Impastor" on Wednesday evenings at 10:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. CT. The TV-MA rating is a more suitable rating for this vulgar show, but this rating has no place on the TV Land network. The previews which air earlier in the evening include sex, theft, murder, drug use, and extremely inappropriate language. Sponsors need to be made aware of the content they are supporting.

The series revolves around Buddy Dobbs, a gambling, pot-smoking slacker, on the run from a loan shark, who steals a man's identity and ends up posing as the new gay pastor in a small, tight-knit town.

This show not only depicts pastors in a negative light, but the entire program will also be based on lies about Christianity. TV Land has crossed the line by belittling the Christian faith with foul jokes.

We need to send a loud and clear message to advertisers that this kind of programming is insulting and completely unacceptable. Networks like TV Land continue to mock Christianity. "Impastor" is another attempt to distort the truth about Christianity. There is strength in numbers so forward this to everyone you know!

As a parent and a member of OneMillionMoms.com, I strongly encourage Cottonelle (Kimberly-Clark Corporation) to drop all plans of financially supporting the inappropriate TV Land program "Impastor" that airs on Wednesday evenings at 10:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. CT.

In case you were not aware, TV Land's "Impastor" is now rated TV-MA. The program includes sex, theft, murder, drug use, and extremely inappropriate language.

This show is also another attempt to distort the truth about Christianity since it is based on lies. This program is also making a mockery of Christian pastors by completely misrepresenting the characteristics of preachers.

As a Christian, I feel you are attacking my faith. This type of Bible-bashing programming is insulting and completely unacceptable. People of faith will not tolerate pastors being ridiculed.

While your company is a household name, I do not agree with your financial backing of this program. I certainly hope your company's financial support of this type of television programming with advertising dollars is simply an oversight.

As a consumer, I am asking Cottonelle to please pull ads immediately and to support family friendly programming instead. My decision to buy any Kimberly-Clark products depends on it.

I look forward to hearing from you regarding my concern.
