Snickers' Distasteful Ad Includes Cuss Word

In the newest Snickers’ Espresso commercial a grandma says, “Yeah, I got it. What the hell is it?” They should not use the word hell in an advertisement. We all know children repeat what they hear.

Snickers’ “Irritable Grandma” ad is irresponsible and offensive. This inappropriate advertisement is airing during primetime when children are likely watching. It is extremely destructive and damaging to impressionable children viewing the commercial.

As a parent and a member of OneMillionMoms.com, I am highly offended by Snickers' (Mars, Inc.) Espresso ad currently airing. This commercial is disrespectful to me personally and to my family.

Snickers is copying a form of media that is intended to be naughty and catchy, but it should be avoided if a company is concerned about its reputation. Your current ad using foul language is irresponsible and tacky, and I believe you can do much better.

Everyone knows children repeat what they hear. You should not use the word hell in a commercial. This disgusting advertisement is airing during primetime when children are likely watching. I find it extremely offensive and destructive, not to mention damaging to impressionable children viewing the commercial.

As a consumer, I ask you to please pull your inappropriate “Irritable Grandma” commercial immediately. My family does not talk like this so I do not appreciate you bringing this vulgar language into my home with a television advertisement. I encourage your company to make more professional marketing choices in the future.

I look forward to hearing from you regarding my concern.
