Hold Sponsors of 'The Detour' Accountable
It is almost impossible to describe the depth of depravity found in the TBS sitcom, "The Detour." 1MM will not go into detail and spread its nasty content further. 1MM cannot even mention specifics during radio interviews because it pushes the envelope so much. Every scene is filled with extremely foul language, using the Lord’s name in vain, sexual innuendos, and graphic encounters throughout the entire thirty-minute program. During the majority of that time, young cast members are involved as well.
New episodes about this criminal family who is running from the law air on Tuesday evenings at 10:30 p.m. ET/9:30 p.m. CT. Reruns will be on Saturday evenings. With a TV-MA LS rating, this irresponsible and tasteless program is inappropriate for any age, but unfortunately, the age of two primary cast members may attract young viewers. The network should be ashamed of itself for exposing the two young actors to this filth and crude humor. Many times, the script involves the two children spouting off profanities.
In "The Detour," the Lord’s Name is used in vain constantly. And even ONCE is too much. The Ten Commandments clearly proclaim, “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.”
God is never glorified when the Lord’s name is taken in vain. You and I cannot let this continue. One Million Moms intends to do something about it.
