Contact Poise Concerning New Ad

Poise is airing a new commercial that many viewers are finding offensive and disgusting. The advertising campaign #RecycleYourPeriodPads starts with a poor choice of words and the commercials only add to this marketing disaster.

This is not the first time Poise has aired indecent ads. Last year, the sexually suggestive "SAM in your pants" ads were filthy and very disturbing to consumers. Poise products are designed to provide protection for light bladder leaks so they have introduced liners with super absorbent material, giving rise to the acronym SAM. The clever acronym was an attempt to revamp their marketing strategy but instead of keeping things clean they turned to distasteful advertising and hurt Kimberly-Clark reputation in the process.

Not only is the current advertising campaign revolting, this horrible ad is turning off women, their target market and primary customers.

As a parent and a member of OneMillionMoms.com, I am disappointed by the new "Recycle Your Period Pads" commercial that Poise is currently airing. I find your ad disgusting and offensive.

As a consumer, I am asking you to stop producing inappropriate ads such as this one and your previous sexually suggestive "Sam in Your Pants" ad. These filthy commercials are hurting Kimberly-Clark’s reputation and offending your target market in the process.

Please don't lower your advertising standards to the level of inappropriate commercials because you can do better. I urge you to cancel this current ad immediately.

I hope you agree and will pull this ad. Please keep my concerns in consideration with future Poise marketing efforts. My decision to buy Kimberly-Clark products depends on it.

I look forward to hearing from you regarding my concern.
